Lawrence Grassi Middle School offers both English and French Immersion programs for grades 4 to grade 8.

Lawrence Grassi was an immigrant from Italy and was a highly respected mountaineer and guide. The namesake of Canmore’s middle school was primarily responsible for building and maintaining several of the trail systems found in the mountains around Canmore.
