Canmore is located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, just 106 km west of Calgary on the Trans-Canada Highway.  This growing city center is 5 minutes from Banff National Park east gate and 22 km east of Banff townsite.

Once a coal-mining town in 1883 and more recently transformed into one of the most beautiful and charming tourist destinations in Canada.

Canmore is the ninth-largest town in Alberta, with a growing population of 12,317 permanent and 5,982 non-permanent/second homeowners. The Bow River flows through Canmore, giving the valley its name: Bow Valley. Bordering Canmore to the south and east lies Kananaskis Country, a 5200 square kilometer Provincial Recreational Area.
